Love this. I feel many people make decisions based on the expectations of others so that they're not judged negatively. Which is unfortunate and can lead to disappointment.
Yes! Autonomy is such a powerful force in our life. Indeed, we develop this in toddlerhood, as stated by Erik Erikson’s stages of psychosocial development model, where a child learn to either be independent when encouraged by their parents or, when discouraged and shamed, they will experience shame and doubt about their efforts to make their own decisions. This shows that not only intrinsic motivation has the power to impact autonomy, it is also formed early in childhood. I have previously tried meditation but found it very difficult in the sense that being left alone with my thoughts for those few minutes what somewhat scary for me. However, I still do tend to try guided meditations every once in a while to help with stress and anxiety. Do you have any tips on incorporating meditation into our daily routines?
Very interesting! I liked the way you phrased the concept of change and how it is necessary to get better!

Thank you Maya. Change is the only constant, right? 😊
