Let’s talk about a topic that doesn’t get much attention (especially for men).

Compassion.

The science is unequivocal on the power of compassion within a team:

• Better motivator than fear of punishment
• Creates psychological safety
• Promotes creativity

All this is possible when compassion is allowed a seat in the boardroom.

📌 Remember, compassion is NOT complacency.

Barbara Fredrickson, the pioneer in researching the power of positive emotions, validated that compassion is the highest-order positive emotion.

Ahead of zest (energy), hope, and even joy.

It is the foundation through which other positive emotions are created and directed. not just for others but for ourselves as well.
