Hello friend! 👋
It is the last Sunday of the year, so I’ll keep this short for you to make the best of it! ☺️
Dedicate 3-5 minutes to celebrate your wins in 2023.
(seriously, do it now if you can).
It helps you strengthen your self-esteem.
And if you’re like me, you are constantly in a rush to move to the next thing, that you forget to stop and realize how far you’ve come.
Which can feel exhausting - constantly measuring the gap vs. the target.
On the other hand, stopping to celebrate can recharge the batteries so you do the next thing better.
One framework I like is that from Martin Seligman; the father of positive psychology.
It is called the 3-good things. Here’s how you do it.
List 3 things you’re grateful for.
Describe (in detail) what was your role in making it happen or achieving it.
Feel free to go beyond 3 - celebrate your wins in you health, wealth, and relationships.
And, detailing your role is critical to personalize the experience and truly help you establish any good habit.
So you can make your prior best your new base line.
For an awesome 2024 ahead.
Happy New Year!
Have a Super Sunday! ⚡️
With much joy,
Hashim
