Don’t manage your stress, do this to master it:
Note: I’m moving to a new newsletter tool, which means Super Sunday letters may come to you on different days of the week for a limited time period. This is essential for the tool to be effective as it starts.
The content will continue to be the same. I appreciate your patience until we move back into Sunday rhythms.
Hello friend! 👋
If you’ve joined us from LinkedIn, a warm welcome from the Super Sunday community - it’s good to have you! 🙌
Today, I want to dive into something crucial: stress mastery.
Stress isn’t something you can eliminate. Life will keep throwing challenges your way, and if you haven’t realized it yet, it only gets busier and more demanding.
The key isn’t to manage stress; it’s to master it by proactively building life skills and routines that keep you resilient.
Let’s dive straight in.
1. Build awareness
(define the concept)
Being proactive is essential to avoid burnout.
If you wait until stress overwhelms you, you’ll already be in recovery mode, trying to bounce back.
There’s a better way: build habits that keep you strong — mentally, emotionally, and physically — so stress never gets the best of you.
Mastering stress isn’t about avoiding it but about knowing how to sustain yourself in its midst.
With the right tools and mindset, you can stay focused, energized, and ready for life’s challenges.
2. Make these choices:
(decisions/actions to bring it to life)
1. Get in peak energy state daily:
Move your body every day to boost your mood and maintain high energy levels. It doesn’t have to be complicated—15 minutes of exercise can do wonders.2. Learn to rest like a pro:
Rest isn’t just about sleep. It’s about knowing when to disconnect, take micro-breaks, and recharge emotionally. Build rest into your day.3. Know your priorities each day:
Start each morning by identifying your top 3 priorities: one to get you in peak state (mental and physical), one to create your best work, and one to have deep relationships.4. Create an ideal week schedule and follow it:
Plan your week with intention, making space for work, rest, and fun. An ideal schedule isn’t rigid — it is a guide to help you make decisions.5. Keep space for activities that nourish you:
Make time for hobbies, connection, and self-care. Whether it’s reading, meeting a friend, or journaling.
3. Build them in a system:
(using the science of habit and willpower to make it consistent)
The best way to build this into a system is to reflect daily:
Set reminders for what matters to you.
Create your priorities for that day in line with your reality and circumstances.
Review the daily reflections to agree on monthly strategies and priorities.
Remember, stress is inevitable, but burnout isn’t. When you proactively build habits that sustain your energy and focus, life’s challenges become opportunities for growth, not obstacles.

Have a Super Sunday! ⚡️
With much joy,
Hashim
PS. From my experience, guided journals offer the best approach to building these habits.
For this reason, I am developing a journal that covers all the points I talk about here and packages it in a step-by-step process that is both simple and fun (so it can be consistent).
